  • Notice of Strike - Tuesday, November 12th

    Passengers are informed that on Tuesday, November 12th, due to a 4-hour national strike, from 1.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. inconveniences may occur at the airport.

    For information on flights, we recommend contacting your airline.

    You can also see the live flight information page on Bologna Airport website.

    We are sorry for the inconvenience.

  • NOTICE OF WORK AT THE AIRPORT

    Passengers are advised that we resumed the work of upgrading spaces and replacement of machines at security controls, with remaking of floor and reduction of access lanes to the boarding hall. We have already activated 4 new machines before the summer, now we are working on the activation in successive phases of another 4 machines, to make security checks easier and faster.

    We apologize for the inconvenience, we are working to make our airport more comfortable and efficient.

TRAVEL WISE

H-JU-ER-2023 – 01101178579

Travel Wise project will support the shift from traffic management in silos to intermodal traffic orchestration by putting in place a methodology, a roadmap and the related technologies to allow:

  • Sharing of information between air and rail operators;
  • intermodal collaborative decision making both in nominal situations and in case of disruptions;
  • optimisation of passenger experience.

Among others, Travel Wise will exploit the experience acquired in the air sector while building the Single European Sky and the European ATM architecture (EATMA) to share knowledge also with the rail sector and support the progressive results of the system created by ERJU in building of the European Single Railway Area and in the definition of the Rail System Architecture.
To create an intermodal ecosystem and following the evolution of the ATM and rail sectors and their Master Plans, Travel Wise will exploit the full benefits of digitalisation, define a roadmap towards a common air-rail data space, extend the Collaborative Decision Making process to multimodality, develop integrated operations plans, and design, develop, implement and validate technical solutions for air-rail integrated traffic management in both nominal and non-nominal situations.
This is guaranteed by the presence in the consortium of relevant members of both Joint Undertakings and a wide representation of end users ranging from airport and rail infrastructure managers, air and rail operators, air navigation service providers (ANSPs), other transport mode operators, relevant technology providers and research centres.

Bologna Airport will be involved in the study of the third scenario: “Regional airport as future multimodal integrator hub”, aiming at enhancing efficiency in managing railway and flight timetables at Bologna Airport by providing a unified and streamlined view for passengers, supporting the prediction models and more specifically the identification of passengers, single ticketing between different transport modes will be enhanced.
Actually, the focal point is the creation of an interface that is able to elaborate the input data (demand) coming from the passengers themselves, from the mobility operators (rail and air) regarding schedules, delays or disruption and to give supply in terms of services for passengers and optimization of the internal operations of the exchange hubs (airport and station).
On one hand, the passengers can display the flight’s timetable during their journey to the airport, to visualize all possible and feasible destinations due to their actual departure/arrival travel time. On the other hand, a passenger leaving Bologna airport could approach the feasible railway connection for the short or long distance destination departing from Bologna Central Station/Bologna High Speed Station.
The developed solutions will be useful in ordinary situations, but especially in case of disruptions.
